1Password - Process for Adding a New Password

 This procedure applies to both:

• Adding a new client's credentials

• Storing a one-off password within an existing account

1) Open 1Password from your Desktop or Browser and sign in with your ReThink credential

2) Select the appropriate Vault from the left-hand column. If the payer does not have a Vault yet, click the + sign at the top of the list to create a new Vault.

 

3) Select the New Item button near the top.

4) Select Login from pop-up

5) Enter the New Credential  

  • Name - Client Name followed by the Payer (e.g., ABAPractice/Aetna)
  • Username - Enter the login identifier
  • Password - Paste or type the password securely
  • Website - Paste or type the URL of the login page or relevant system link
  • Notes - (optional) Add any context, expiration dates, Security questions/answers, Backup codes for Availity
  • Tags - Enter the Client's name as the tag. (e.g., ABA Practice) You will only need to type it out the first time.               Going forward it will be available to select from the list.  
  • Save - Be sure it hit Save
