How to sign in to 1Password
You have two options for opening the password list. Desktop or Browser version
Desktop Version
Launching 1Password Securely
• Accessing the Application:
Locate and select the 1Password shortcut from your desktop (if available), or search for “1Password” using your computer’s toolbar.
• Optimizing Future Access:
To streamline future use, right-click the 1Password icon and select “Pin to Taskbar” for quick access.
• Authentication Reminder:
If you haven’t accessed 1Password recently, you’ll be prompted to enter your ReThink credentials followed by your multi-factor authentication (MFA) code to proceed.
Browser Extension
Select the 1Password icon from your browser's header.
If the 1Password icon is not visible on your browser’s toolbar, follow these steps to pin it:
1. Open Browser Settings
Click the settings menu in your browser.
(In Google Chrome, this is represented by three vertical dots in the upper-right corner.)
2. Navigate to Extensions
From the settings menu, select “Extensions” or “Manage Extensions”, depending on your browser.
3. Locate 1Password
Find the 1Password extension in the list and select the Details button.
4. Pin to Toolbar
Click the pin icon next to 1Password to ensure it appears on your browser’s toolbar for easy access.
To open 1Password from your browser, first select the icon. If you have not signed in recently or it has timed out, you will be prompted to log in with your Microsoft credentials/ReThink First account using the authenticator app. It may not load 1Password right away, so please be sure to select the icon from your browser's toolbar again.
