Funding Sources
A funding source is the entity that will be paying for a student’s therapy. For example, it may be insurance, an educational institution, regional center, private pay or other. Your system comes with private pay already created as a funding source. Any other funding sources for your center should be created in this step. Funding sources will be associated to the students using the contract record during student registration.
Insurances that will be billed to Insurance should be created in Renaissance, not TotalABA and then will transfer to TotalABA automatically. Renaissance has a concept of an Insurance Company and Insurance Plan. Both will need to be setup. Setup is explained on page s 11-13 in the below Renaissance guide.
Funding sources that will not be billed to insurance, or have a need to transfer to Renaissance can be created directly in TotalABA. Please refer to the below video for creating these funding sources.
