Enhanced Session Sign-off

There are several different ways you can manage sessions requiring sign-off: either for a student, a list of sessions or a custom defined filter. The sign-off sessions page will list all applicable sessions along with basic validation checking if the session may be signed-off or not. If the session can potentially be signed-off a button will be displayed to the left of that session. Otherwise, the reason(s) it cannot be signed off will be listed in red text in the last column. Furthermore, an Edit button is also available to directly edit the session and then return to the list of sessions.

Clicking Sign-Off will open the standard sign-off page where additional validation will be performed, such as session linkage, procedure maximum units, etc.

Clicking Quick Sign will automatically attempt to sign-off the session with no additional user input required. However, if the session is linked to others or has any additional requirements/warnings, then the standard sign-off page will be displayed (same as clicking Sign-Off as described above).

A bulk sign-off option is also available. To use this option, select all sessions that should be signed off and then click the Bulk Sign-Off button at the top of the page. This will launch a new page showing how

many sessions have been selected along with how many sessions have bene processed. Leave this window open until the status is marked as Completed. Once completed it will list the sessions that have been signed-off along with those that could not be signed-off using the bulk feature. Sessions that

have any warnings, validation issues or are linked to other sessions cannot be signed-off in bulk. They

will be listed as “Couldn’t sign-off”.

In all cases, once the session has been signed off, you will be returned to the session sign-offs page and that session will be automatically removed from the list.

This page can be accessed in several different ways.

· Open a sessions list (must click Go next to the view name) and click the Sign-Off button. This will list all sessions that have not been signed off (default filter applied). You can also select individual sessions from the list using the checkboxes to the left of each session (or click the top checkbox to select all).

· Open the student record, go to the sessions section and click the Sign-Off button. This will list all sessions for the student that have not been signed off. You can also select individual sessions for the student using the checkboxes to the left of each session.

Once the sign-off sessions page has loaded, you have several options for managing it.

· Enter the search criteria using the available filter fields. Once you have set the filter, click the Load Sessions button. You can make this the default filter for future use by click the Save As Default button.

· If you selected records from session/student list, you can start a new search by clicking the

Remove Selection button and then enter a new filter. The filter will automatically be set to your default filter (assuming one was saved) and you can load the sessions or alter the filter.

· You can remove the current filters by clicking Clear Filters and then add a new search criteria.
