November 2020 Release Note

Treatment Plan Approvals (Parent and Therapist Signatures)

You can now collect Student Representative and Therapist signatures on the Treatment Plan. This works just like Session Approvals. To collect a signature on the Treatment Plan, press the new Approve button on the Treatment Plan. Then select whether it is a Student Representative signature or a Therapist Signature. After that Print the name, sign and save. These signatures will print on the printed Treatment Plan.

Parent Portal Graphing

Parents can now track the progress of their child’s lessons by viewing graphs right within the Parent Portal. They can view graphs for Treatment Goals and Behaviors similar to what is printed from the Treatment Plan in TotalABA.

If the Parent Portal is part of your current subscription, and you would like this feature to your portal, please contact TotalABA Support.

If you do not currently have our portal and are interested in seeing a demo, please contact our sales department at [email protected].

New Security Model Option

A new record-level security model has been added to TotalABA. Currently, record level security can be handled based on Student-Assigned Therapist and Student-Location. Appointments sharing is typically based on having access to the Student record (this may vary depending on your configuration).

The new option allows for a staff member to get access to a Students appointment only if:

  • They are the Assigned person on the appointment.
  • They created the appointment.
  • They are assigned to have access to a particular staff member’s appointment.

If you are interested in learning more about this new model, please contact support.

The ability to remove Inactive Treatment Goals from the Multi Graph screen

A new option has been added to the Graph Treatment Goals screen named Hide Inactive Treatment Goals. Checking this option will remove Treatment Goals that have been deactivated from the selection window.

Funding Parent Added

A new field has been added to the Funding Source named Funding Parent. This allows you to get a higher-level report on your Funding Source reports.

An example of how this might be used is as an insurance company versus plan relationship. For example, you may have several Aetna Funding Sources in your system. Create a new Funding Parent of Aetna and attach to all your Aetna Funding Sources. This would allow you to run reports based on the Aetna umbrella, instead of having to run a report to pull out all of your individual Aetna Funding Sources.

Intensity Setting – New Setting

A new setting can be found on each item in the Behavior library named Intensity setting. This setting allows you to adjust how the intensity feature behaves when collecting Frequency data. The options are:

  • None – Do not show Intensity picklist
  • Optional – Behaves as it did before this update. There is a None option but entering Intensity is optional
  • Required – This will remove the None option and always require an intensity be selected

Order Pay Codes in Time Clock

The Time Clock now orders the Staff Member pay codes in Numerical/Alphabetical order.
