New Features
Portal Forms
Portal Forms is a key new feature that has been added to the current robust Parent Portal capabilities. Portal Forms allow you to generate custom forms that can then be sent to the Parent Portal for the family to fill out and sign. Groups of forms can also be added to a “Portal Packet”. Generate your own questions on the forms that can then have answers populated as dates, numeric values, free text boxes, checkboxes, picklists, email formats and more. Once a family completes and submits the forms, they will be automatically sent and stored right into the Student record. You can even automatically update the Student Demographics based on the answers that were entered on the forms.
Common uses for portal forms are registration packets, HIPAA forms, consent forms, yearly forms, demographic verification forms and more.
If you already have the Parent Portal, this feature will be automatically added to your Parent Portal. If you do not yet have the portal and are interested, please contact our Sales Department for a demonstration. Also, stay tuned for an announcement about an upcoming webinar where Portal forms will be demonstrated.
Bulk Session Sign Off Enhancements
Prior to this release, the Bulk Session Sign Off feature would not accommodate Combining Sessions or non-billable Sessions. These Sessions would require individual sign offs. Bulk signing will now automatically sign these Sessions (and combine them) if there are no sign off warnings.
New Graph Type - Sum Yes/No Responses
A new option has been added to the graphing settings page named Sum Yes/No Responses. If checked, the Yes/No graphs will show the count of Yes and No responses versus a percentage of Yes responses. 2 lines will appear by default – 1 for Yes and 1 for No. The yes or No line can be hidden if needed.
New Setting – Default Session Approval Type
A new setting has been added to Settings > Session tab named Default Session Approval Type. This setting will allow you to default the Approval Type option to either Student Representative or Therapists for session approvals.
New Setting - Expired Authorizations Default Non-Billable Session
A new setting has been added to Settings > Practice Administration tab named Expired Authorizations Default Non-Billable Session. If enabled, it will automatically mark Sessions as Non-Billable if the attached authorization is expired. This includes Authorizations that are past the expiration date, or if the visits or minutes have been consumed.
New Appointment Type Setting – Non-Billable Session
A new field has been added on the Appointment Type named Non-Billable Session. If checked, appointments with this Appointment Type will be allowed to have Sessions created. However, the Session will be marked as Non-Billable by default.
New Setting – Trend Line Method
A new Setting has been added to Settings > Practice Administration named Trend Line Method. The setting has 2 options:
- First Two, Last Two – If selected the Trend Line on your graphs will calculate using a method that considers the first 2 data points and the last 2 data points.
- All Data Points - If selected the Trend Line on your graphs will calculate using a method that considers all data points on the graph.
Behavior Saving Enhancement
Prior to this release, Frequency data could only be saved if an observation was first recorded. If no value was recorded the Save button would be disabled. This meant that zero observation recordings would require the staff to toggle up and then back to zero. Now, the Save button will be enabled be default making it easier for zero observations to be recorded.
