July 2021 Release Note
The Ability to Edit Recurring Appointments
Prior to this release, the only way to edit recurring appointments was to delete the future appointments and re-create the recurrence. With this release you can now edit certain attributes for the future recurring appointments. The attributes that can be edited are:
- Appointment Type
- Status
- Cancelation Reason
- Reason
- Start Time
- End Time
- Duration
- Authorization
- Assigned To
- Location
When you edit a recurring appointment, it will ask you if you want to update all future appointments in the recurrence. Press OK to do so or Cancel to only update the individual appointment.
A few notes about this new future:
- Drag and Drop on the calendar will only affect the individual appointment.
- You cannot change the patter of the recurrence. For example, if the appointments are on Monday and Friday and you want to change them to Tuesday and Thursday, use the traditional method of deleting the recurrence and recreating.
Default Signature for Session Approval
You can now use the Signature image for defaulting the Therapist Approval Signature. Upload an image of your signature under Settings > General Tab. Going forward the image will appear in the signature section of the Session Approval screen for Therapist Approvals.
Credential Added to Sign Off User
The sign off users credentials will now show on the printed session.
Treatment Plan Approval Delete
Admins can now delete Treatment Plan Approvals. To do so, clock on view on the Treatment Plan Approval and press the Delete button.
New Rounding Method – Partial Units – 8 Minute Rule
A new rounding method has been added to the procedure code Rounding method field. This new option allows for the codes to be rounded to the quarter unit using the 8 minute rule.
Here are some examples of the rounding done with the 8 minute rule:
20 minute session = 0.25 units
23 minute session = 0.5 units
62 minute session = 1.00 units
68 minute session = 1.25 units
90 minute session = 1.50 units
95 minute session = 1.50 units
98 minute session = 1.75 units
Update Session from Authorization (upon request)
You can now request to add an optional button to your session screen named Update Session from Auth. When pressed this button will update the session with information from the Authorization. This would be useful for scenarios where the Authorization was attached to the appointment after the session was created.
Session Print Footer
Student DOB and Student ID have been added to the Footer of the Session Print Page
Ability to Send Time In and Time Out in 24 Hour Format
In the May 2021 Release we added a setting that allowed for the Time In and Time Out of the Sessions to be sent to PracticeSuite. See the May 2021 Release Note for details. We can now change the format to 24 hour time format upon request.
Attach Session to Time block (Payroll)
You can now attach a session to a Time block after the time block is created. Edit the time block and use the new session picker to select the Session that you want to associate to the time block.
Time Clock now shows Appointment times (Payroll)
If clocking into Sessions via the time clock, appointment times are now visible.
Time Clock now removes canceled appointments (Payroll)
If clocking into Sessions via the time clock, canceled appointments now get removed from view.
Time blocks from Session (Payroll)
Staff Member information automatically populates when manually creating a time block from a session.
Submit for Approval button removal (Payroll)
The Submit for Approval button will be removed from view if the staff member has already submitted their timesheet for approval. If the admin removes the Submission lock it will again be viewable.
