Session Approvals
Session approvals allow the capture of a family member and/or therapist signature on the session. This is typically used to signal that the entity has approved the encounter and its content before the session has been signed off. Once the session has been signed off, session approvals may no longer be added.
The new session approval screen has a space where the signature may be made using a touch screen (e.g. tablet, cell phone, touch monitor) or with a mouse. Select the approval type (student representative or therapist), type in the name of the person making the signature and finally have them sign the page.
In addition to capturing the signature, the system also records the timestamp of when the signature is submitted and captures the geolocation (when enabled by the device and browser permissions). This ensures additional verification and traceability of the approval event.
All captured information, including the signature, timestamp, and geolocation data, is securely stored in accordance with HIPAA compliance standards, ensuring the protection and confidentiality of client-related documentation and session records.
