Staff member code groups are used to restrict which diagnosis and/or procedure codes may be used on a session when the staff member is listed as the therapist. If one or more active code groups are associated to the staff member, then only those codes in the code group(s) are available in the diagnosis and procedure code pickers on the session. The following fields are available on the staff member code group:

· Code Group – Select the appropriate code group for the staff member.

· Start Date – If applicable enter the date the code group restriction should start. Only sessions with a date of service on/after the start date will have the code group applied. Leave blank if the code group should apply regardless of the date.

· End Date - If applicable enter the date the code group restriction should end. Only sessions with a date of service on/before the end date will have the code group applied. Leave blank if the code group should apply regardless of the date.

· Comments – Enter any notes for the staff member code group.

If the staff member does not have any associated code groups, then all diagnosis and procedure codes are valid when the staff member is the therapist on a session (within the scope of any other session constraints). See code groups and student code groups for further information.
